Berri is famous for its fruit, fruit
juice and superb wines. It has evolved into a popular destination
for the people of Adelaide, as well as tourists travelling
along the mighty Murray River! Berri Limited is one of the
largest manufacturers of fruit juice in Australia whilst Berri
Estates is one of the largest wineries in Australia.
The Murray River National Park is made up of three distinct
sections of floodplain spread along the Murray River from
above Renmark and north of Loxton, with Berri centrally located
in the Middle south of the Katarapko Section of the Murray
River. The park protects natural wonders of the region and
the unique Australian wildlife. The River boasts excellent
canoeing and fishing. The most commonly caught fish are Yellowbelly,
Redfin and the occasional Murray Cod.
Other Activities include Golf, Bowls, Tennis, Water Sports,
Boating and Cruising on the Swamplander, Art Galleries, Craft
Shops, Historical Sites and Museums, Swimming, Bird Watching,
Bike Riding and more!
